GRAPEFRUIT BASIL FIZZ

For 1 serving

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 large fresh basil leaves
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeeze lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup 
  • 1-1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz soda water
  • 1 c ice
  1. Place 6 basil leaves into a cocktail shaker. With a muddler, mash basil leaves. 
  2. Add 1/2 c ice, grapefruit and lime juices, simple syrup and vodka. 
  3. Put lid on cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. 
  4. Place remaining 1/2 c ice and 2 basil leaves into a glass. Pour mixed cocktail over ice and basil. 
  5. Top off with soda water. 
  6. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
