GRAPEFRUIT BASIL FIZZ
For 1 serving
- 8 large fresh basil leaves
- 1 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz freshly squeeze lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1-1/2 oz vodka
- 1 oz soda water
- 1 c ice
- Place 6 basil leaves into a cocktail shaker. With a muddler, mash basil leaves.
- Add 1/2 c ice, grapefruit and lime juices, simple syrup and vodka.
- Put lid on cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Place remaining 1/2 c ice and 2 basil leaves into a glass. Pour mixed cocktail over ice and basil.
- Top off with soda water.
- Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
